Rupp Rider: Eric Westman, Sawyer, ND

The 1971 Rupp Magnums were arguably Rupp's most winningest race sleds, and featured a slide rail suspension, a Keihin carburetor, a heavy duty brake system, and a pleated racing style naugahyde seat. In 1971, a Rupp brochure characterized the 400 Magnum sled as being "a white knuckler."

Band: 1971 Rupp Magnum 400cc

Owner: Eric Westman, Sawyer, ND

Motor: Tohatsu Fan Cooled 400cc

Eric Westman of Sawyer, North Dakota sent in some pictures of his 1971 Rupp Magnum and Suzuki Fury snowmobiles from his collection. Eric states that he needs to find a tool box and a new seat cover to finish off the sled, but it still looks pretty sharp as it sits! Pictured below are both of Eric's sleds.

Pictured below is a shot of the engine compartment of Eric's sled. Note the really clean motor and the addition of a tether cord.
