8th Annual Maine Fall Classic

Newport, Maine

October 1st & 2nd, 2005

Brian Boucher submitted these pictures of his visit of the 8th Annual Maine Fall Classic. Thankfully, he was more than willing to share them. According to Brian, all of these Rupps pictured above are owned by Paul Bernier.

Starting from left to right: The 1975 F/A (shown partially) was said to be restored by Bill Stull, the 1973 Magnum and 1971 800cc Magnum are original, and the 1971 Magnum on the far right was originally a 440cc, but now has a fan cooled 295cc Tohatsu motor.

Here are some other pictures of sleds that Brian took:

1977 Rupp Nitro - Brian's Sled & Sno Jet Thunderjet

1976 Alouette Super Brute 250cc

Older Polaris Sno-Traveler & 1976 Merc Sno-Twister

Awesome 1973 Alouette Super Brute 340cc

Rare Thunderjet 650 For Sale

When is the last time you saw a project 650 Sno Jet Thunderjet for sale? This was offered for sale by the Coverside Ski and Wheel museum, but I don't know what the price was or whether it sold.

Here are a few pics of some sleds that I believe to be from the Coverside Wheel and Ski Museum collection:

Restored 1975 Rupp Nitro F/A 440cc

Original 1972 Sno Jet Thunderjet 440cc

1974 Boa Ski B.A.R. 650cc Racer

If you have any additional pictures that I could post on this event,

send me a pic with a description.
