2005 Coulee Sno-Drifters Show

Onalaska, Wisconsin

October 22nd, 2005

Earlier this Fall, my whole family headed to Onalaska for the Coulee Sno-Drifters second annual vintage snowmobile show, swap meet, and chili feed. For just 2 bucks, attendees got a chance at free raffle prizes as well as all the chili they could eat. In addition, the show featured FREE admission and FREE swap spaces for sleds and parts. This is such a wonderful venue and it's just an hour drive from my home! There were some really great sleds at this show, including a beautiful 1978 Yamaha SSR, a Yamaha SRX, a 1972 Sno-Jet Thunderjet, and a mint 1969 Scorpion Mark II. Here are some pictures of sleds we saw at the event, starting first with the Yamaha SSR:

1976 Yamaha SRX

Although the numerous Arctic Cats dominated the show, there were many other brands represented, including Polaris, Scorpion, Yamaha, Sno Jet, Raider, Rupp, and Mercury. What is unusual is that I don't recall a single Ski Doo show sled. In fact, I don't think there was one at the show at all, except for perhaps the swap meet!

Here are a few pics of some of the other sleds we saw, starting first with the winner of the "Best of Show" award:
