Classic Sled Roundup

St. Germain, Wisconsin

May 25th, 2008

On the weekend of May 25th, my family spent the weekend in the scenic Eagle River area to take in the Classic Sled Roundup organized by the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and Museum and sponsored by Arctic Cat. The vintage show, located in the community park, included many classes of judged classes.

Sled numbers may have been down due to high fuel prices, but there were some spectacular show sleds, including several rare Sno-Pro sleds, and some sweet deals were scored in the swap area by bargain hunters.

Here are some pictures of the Rupps we saw at this year's event, starting with this 1973 Rupp Ntiro prototype that Bill Stull bought in:

Bill brought another great sled to this show, including this 1972 Rupp Magnum, supposedly one of just 50 built.

Here are some other great general show pictures. As you can see, there were some fantastic sleds at this year's event, including a 1970 Arctic Cat speed world record holder, a Moto Ski Sno Pro, a "brand new" Yamaha SR643, a couple Polaris Sno Pro sleds, and a 1973 Arctic Cat EXT to name just a few:

Here were a couple of noted swap sleds for sale, a 1975 Rupp Nitro F/A for $4000 and a 1976 Arctic Cat Z for $2200. There were also a couple of 1971 Arctic Cat EXTs for sale as well!
